It’s Better To Fail In Originality Than To Succeed In Imitation – Diana Hamilton to Emelia Baidoo

A-list Ghanaian Gospel queen, Diana Hamilton has honoured burgeoning Gospel minstrel, Emelia Baidoo and has further advised her concerning the music ministry.

The 2021 VGMA artiste of the year was overwhelmed with Emelia Baidoo when the two meet and also wish her well on her music journey.

The “Adom” hitmaker also took the opportunity to advice Emelia Baidoo to always stay original with her craft and not worry about what people say or what people think but to be herself because It’s better to fail in originality than to succeed in imitation.

“You are unique, You have different talents and abilities, You don’t have to follow in the footsteps of others and most importantly, you should always remind yourself that you don’t have to do what everyone else is doing and have a responsibility to develop the talents you have been given. Don’t try to impress people, Always be yourself.”

Diana Hamilton disclosed that the strategy she has adopted since she started her career is conscious efforts to be herself. She emphasized that that strategy has helped her grow from grace to grace and has also sustained her relevance in the industry.

“Most of we the musicians are eager to be stars and have fame so we rush for the fame and stardom without waiting for God’s time.

“It is easy to call yourself a Gospel Musician but how to last in the industry is not easy because some of us have been through a lot of challenges to get to where we are now,” she added.

Emelia Baidoo is a new face in the Gospel industry and currently out with a new single tittle, “Manisuo”.
