Don't switch the playlist, play more local songs – Kuami Eugene

He made it known that the practice of switching playlists to suit the ear of the foreigners should end.

Following the Year of Return initiative spearheaded by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Kuami Eugene has bemoaned the practice of playing foreign content.

Kuami Eugene revealed that during such a season as Christmas, many foreigners and diasporans flood the country for holidays and the music constantly being listened to are mostly foreign songs.

The young artiste made it known on Hitz FM during the Daybreak Hitz show hosted by Andy Dosty that the practice of switching playlists to suit the ear of the foreigners should end.

“I would use this platform to plead to our people, please don’t switch the playlist. Last year, we as workers of Ghana didn’t make much money.

It’s so beautiful that its the Year of Return and a lot of people are releasing singles and we should consume what we are releasing”, he obliged.

The ‘Obiaato’ hitmaker would be performing live on December 6 at the MTN Music Festival inside the AICC.
