Irene Logan debunks claims of being arrogant, exposes Gyo Gyimah

She revealed that film director, Gyo Gyimah, owes her a music video from 10 years ago.

Ghanaian songstress of Liberian descent, Irene Logan, has debunked claims that she is arrogant and self-conceited as well as sharing some past experiences with video director, Gyo Gyimah.

In defence, the ‘Run Away’ hitmaker explained that she grew up as an only child who was overly protected and that made her socially awkward.

She clarified that her reception towards people is based on the environment she finds herself in.

“It took me a long time to understand the dynamics of group settings. I’m usually a one-on-one type of person so when I started hearing these stories at a point I was defensive and emitted this kind of energy they translate into arrogance,” she said.

According to her, the perception of her rudeness is based on hearsay and not from personal encounters they had with her

She further described the claims as “a possible sabotage that is part of a divine purpose for her life.”

The artiste who doubles as an entrepreneur further revealed that award-winning film director, Gyo Gyimah, owes her a music video from 10 years ago.

She made this revelation during an interview on ‘The Zone’ with Jon Germain on Starr FM on Thursday, November 7.

According to the “Run Away” hitmaker, she contacted Gyo – who is well known for his classic music videos – to shoot a music video for her.

But after paying him, he gave some excuses about the whereabouts of the video file and since then hasn’t made the video available neither did he refund her money.

“I saved up so much money from performances, scouted for location, paid Gyo Gyimah of Phamous Philms for a music video, and for more than 10 years, I haven’t seen the video,” she revealed. “Gyo Gyimah said the video mysteriously vanished from his machine.”

She continued: “He told me his computer crashed and then it will be retrieved, but upon numerous calls to him, he didn’t even return the calls nor my videos, not to talk of a refund.”

She was a member of ‘Irene and Jane’ duo, which comprised of herself and popular musician Efya.

She rose to fame after winning the maiden edition of ‘Stars of the Future’ music talent show.
