Stonebwoy pleads for support of our own acts

After completing a dare of push-ups by Andy Dosty, Stone began addressing various concerns thrown at him by the panellists gathered.

BHIMNation’s president, Stonebwoy, in an interview this morning has addressed certain issues that took over the media in the past weeks concerning his management, ambassadorial deals, awards, tours and other business engagements.

After completing a dare of push-ups by the host of Daybreak Hitz, Andy Dosty, who just celebrated an added year a day before, Stone began addressing various concerns thrown at him by the panellists gathered.

He revealed that he has quite a good fashion sense and even attended a global fashion industry event in London after being a panellist at a conference that involved global music influencers affiliated to big names like Jay-Z and Kanye West.

On that note, he announced a BHIMNation merchandise store soon to be opened for fans to be able to purchase items from his clothing line.

Moving on, the Dancehall artiste revealed that his longtime friend and working partner, Blakk Cedi is no longer his manager.

“In every organization, there are ups and downs…every team has things they deal with.”

“There have been structural amendments at Burniton Music Group and therefore, going forward, Blakk Cedi is now my agent.

He is not my manager but he is more than a manager now,” the ‘Tuff Seed’ hit singer disclosed.

Interested persons, Stonebwoy added, can either contact Blakk Cedi or himself for bookings.

Speaking on the ongoing court case between himself and Shatta Wale he pleaded, “We have lived by example. We are still hoping that the government would issue a Nolle prosequi by the Attorney-General because we have led by example to be honest.”

He pleaded with the government to drop the case “so we can continue our work…unifying the masses,” and they do not want such a dent on their names.

He also responded to veteran musician, Gyedu-Blay Ambolley’s claims that the singer was putting other cultures in his songs rather than Ewe or Ghanaian.

The legendary singer cited Stonebwoy’s ‘Most Original’ feature with Sean Paul, as an example saying that the Jamaican was selling his home with his language but Stonebwoy had sold nothing Ghanaian in the song.

However, Stonebwoy believes Patios has given him a stage to stand on and represent Ghana.

“I am an Ewe and there are Ewe songs I have performed on big platforms, I speak Twi and Ga in some of my songs but I am fortunate enough to have been able to study and cross over to other languages including English.”

“Definitely I see nothing wrong in being able to master a craft so well that I am accepted globally or else I may not even be able to get to where I am today,” he told.

The renowned talent disclosed that he has been working hard and preparing towards a song with Rihanna which confirms a circulating screenshot of Stonebwoy asking Rihanna to come to Ghana for a collaboration.

He also shared his concern on how his ‘Ololo’ song with Nigeria’s Teni was the only song by a Ghanaian artiste to make it into the top 10 iTunes Ghana songs .

He encouraged that we support our own as such ventures are used in screening acts for selections in major prestigious international awards like the BETs, MOBOs and MAMAs that we want our acts to win.

Furthermore, he described Kelvynboy as still being under his label legally per the contract signed and also being ungrateful in comparison to the circumstances in which he found himself in while serving under Samini.

The ‘Top Skanka’ crooner exclusively announced that he was bringing up a legally structured initiative to help upcoming artistes.
