Copta is back with a new single ‘Aseti’ ft. Magnom

Copta is a Ghanaian rapper, musician and songwriter from the capital city, Accra, where he’s been raised into becoming an active social commentator who sells his reality, culture, and environment through rap music.

He attended Achimota School. Copta first appeared on the music scene with an expermintal mixtape he titled “Little Drops” and in 2016 he released UNI, his debut mixtape under the direction of Skillions boss Jayso who helped him develop his craft into a musical career.

UNI was a project that built popularity among students in Legon, KNUST, and Ashesi at the time because it documented the life of a university student studying in Ghana.

Last year, Copta released his first music video in January for ‘Snakes and Ladders’ a single to an EP he recorded and produced at RGG Studios where he’s been creating music since with fast-rising trap and afrobeat producer Moor Sound.

But moving on to this year, Copta has only appeared as a featuring act; first on Kay-T’s fast-growing new trap wave ‘Ocean’ which also features Azonto originator NshonaMuzick and Magnom and also more recently Copta delivered a verse on Jayso’s ‘Blessed’, a song off 0106 volume 4, an EP released by the Skillionaire in June.

“Aseti” is a twi expression which means ‘It’s set’ and this describes Copta’s current state of mind and readiness to deliver world standard rap songs again for GH rap fans. On this new single, he features a culturally relevant force in Ghana music the ‘My Baby’ hitmaker Badman Magnom and the production is done by Foreign Local who produced ‘Pink Molly’ on his last year project ‘The Finer Things’.
