Controversial Dancehall act, Shatta Wale, has released an interesting single titled, Congratulate, following the events that preceded the altercation at this years’ Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
His main argument for all that transpired on the night was that he was just approaching the podium to congratulate his now reconciled rival, Stonebwoy, on winning the much-coveted category by the two biggest Reggae/Dancehall artistes in Ghana, the Reggae /Dancehall Artistes of the Year.
The humble gesture of congratulating his colleague quickly spiraled into a state of confusion that led to a brawl between the fanbase of both artistes, that is, BHIM Nation and Shatta Movement Empire, resulting in Stonebwoy’s eventual brandishing of a gun at a live event being aired on national television.
A lot has happened since that episode was over and the two factions have bonded together and pledged never to repeat such actions.
However, today’s release by Shatta Wale has brought up a whole new stir on the issue. It isn’t clear if Shatta is just being controversial and humorous about that entire chapter of his life or as the lyrics suggests, is he throwing an indirect tantrum at Charterhouse and the VGMA board for their harsh punishments against both artistes?
Well, the answer is yours to decide as you take a critical hearing at Shatta Wale’s latest controversial banger, Congratulate, below:
