Obrafour launches ‘Pae Mu Ka @ 20′; outlines activities

Ace rapper, Obrafour, in commemoration of the 20th anniversary of his 1st ever album, ‘Pae Mu Ka’, released in 1999, has successfully launched ‘Pae Mu Ka @ 20′ at the Tang Palace Hotel’s Events Centre.

Hosted by KOD, the night kickstarted with a spoken word by RhymeSonny and a performance by the Kri8 band.

Of notable mention was also Sarkodie’s memorable rap delivery on the night, like an upcoming rapper who had just met his lifetime role model and had been given the chance to showcase his talent.

Several celebrities graced the occasion and took turns to reminisce the good old days when Obrafour’s ‘Pae Mu Ka’ was the talk of the town.

Some A-list creative arts industry key players and celebrities who graced the gathering with their presence, performances and speeches include Yvonne Nelson, Pappy Kojo, D Black, E.L, M.anifest, Hammer of the Last 2 fame, Abraham Ohene Djan, CY Lover, Sarkodie, among others.

Speaking at the launch, Edward Owusu, the Business Development Manager for Obrafour, in their bid to cement Obrafour’s legacy in the music landscape, would organize a symposium on the hiplife journey of Obrafour and his contribution to the genre.

The management has also included in the schedule, a regional tour which covers Koforidua, Techiman, Kumasi, Takoradi and ends in Accra with a big concert.

He will also be championing a social responsibility project called Obrafour Nti where schools in rural communities would be given support in terms of infrastructure, scholarships and teaching aids.

Obrafour will also have a cypher for rappers who would ride the ‘Pae Mu Ka’ beat. This will air on television and Obrafour’s social media pages.
