It never stops for Rufus

Andrew Rufus Martie, aka, Rufus, has fast become a household name making one hit after another.

The young chap has released yet another album titled “Woati” (Have you heard).

On his take on what keeps him going in the hiplife game, Rufus said the passion to make a positive impact in the lives of the youth of Africa, and Ghana in particular, is greater than any other thing he knows.

“I want to leave a lasting legacy of hope and development in the hearts of the youth,” he said.

These words of his are a true manifestation of his new album which has 8 songs.

Rufus’s brand of blending decent, neat, and creative words in his lyrics has always endeared him to the hearts of many music lovers.

The album has great songs like “Sika Adwa”, “Stay”, ” Mansah”, “Do em So Noo” and “Caponi”. All are neatly programmed and good to the music lover’s ears.

One song on the album that promises to cause a stir and controversy is “Maka Maka”, which means, “It had to be said”. Rufus shows his daring side in this song as he spits hardcore facts in a very plain and controversial manner. For those music lovers who have been ardent followers of hip-hop and hiplife music, this song is a reminder of the controversial nature of the late American rapper, Tupac Amaru Shakur.

The title track “Woati” is a danceable song that features the melodious Mary. The two blend perfectly as the song progresses steadily.

Rufus has shown consistency in bringing out full albums, a thing that many big names in the industry have not done after their success. From here on, the sky is below the limit for Rufus.
