After two active years of neo-afro pop, a rap gang and repertoire of songs, ‘Stay Woke’ artist Darkovibes is ready to release his debut album.

Expected to be titled ‘Montego Bay/Zone 6’ the album is a reference to the La Meme Gang artist’s childhood neighbourhood.

It is supposed to be a nod to his experiences growing up, and probably recognition of the environment that shaped his earlier influences.

Montego Bay/Zone 6 is expected to have 17 songs whiles featuring top artists including Wizkid, Mugeez, Efya, Kuami Eugene, King Promise, Peruzzi and Bisa Kdei.

Expectations are high, as fans are hoping that a lot more hits dominated by Ga and pidgin (similar to ‘Tomorrow’ and ‘Stay Woke’) will make their way onto the album.

The album will feature music producers including Streetbeatz, Jumpoff, Vacs, Nxwrth, and Kuvie.

Seemingly unconstrained by conventional definitions of genres, Darkovibes’ colourful personality seeps through his songs as he creates a harmony of different sounds borrowing aspects of trap, drill and local beats.

Montego Bay/Zone 6 album is likely to be released in July or August 2019 and it should be available on all digital music platforms.
