When CharterHouse, organisers of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, created the Best Rapper of the year category, many a comment was in approval of the move.

Some opined that it should have even been implemented way earlier than it was. So when on April 10th 2010 Sarkodie was adjudged the very first Rapper of the year, all eyes were fixed on the subsequent editions to see who will be picking them up.

Coming off the back of a hugely successful debut, Rapper Trigmatic won the 2011 Best Rapper of the Year category beating of Sway, J-Town, Guru and HipLife “originator” Reggie Rockstone.

In honouring Trigmatic’s feat during the 2011 MTN Ghana Music Awards, here are 5 songs by the ‘Me Firi’ Ghana rapper.

  • Cry (Hold Yuh Riddim)
  • Life
  • Aagyei
