Legendary producer Zapp Mallet out with a new album; Aayalolo

Renowned recording engineer, guitarist and music producer, Emmanuel Mallet, better known as Zapp Mallet has released his latest album, Aayalolo.

Judging from his experience in the Ghanaian music industry, Zapp brings to play the diverse elements contained in our rich Ghanaian music unto the 7-track album.

Songs such as the title track, Aayalolo, Accra life, Asante Swing, Keta School Boys and Ebaahi resonate with the unmistakable strummings of Zapp’s signature guitar playing in a jazzy form.

He fast forwards the jam of the good old days with a more current upbeat approach on the highlife tune, Do As I Say, which features vocals and rap lines and repeats in similar fashion on ‘Sorry’.

It’s a well balanced album suitable for both the young, the old and every kind of music lover in general.

Emmanuel Mallet started recording at the ARC Studios in Tema and he moved to the C.H.M Studio in Accra. Later, he recorded at Kampsite and then to T.L.C. Studio.

Currently, Zapp is the head executive of Title Track Productions Limited, his own company and studio. He has worked with various high profiled Ghanaian and International artistes.

Artistes he has worked with include Kojo Antwi, Reggie Rockstone, Tagoe Sisters, Lord Kenya, Ofori Amponsah and Daasebre Gyamena.

He has also worked with Obour, Suzzy & Matt, Becca, Irene Logan and Nana Quame, Nana & Dan, Helena Rhabbles, Praye, Nana Fynn amongst others.
