Stonebwoy wins DSTV Nickelodeon’s Favourite African Star award in SA
Multiple award-winning Ghanaian Reggae/ Dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy, has been adjudged Favourite African Star at the DSTV Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards in South Africa.
The awards scheme in which he won was rather an affiliate event sponsored by DSTV and held in South Africa and not the main event hosted in America of which DJ Khaled assumed the opening act.
He was nominated in the category alongside major acts across the African borders such as Adesua, Ik and Sauti Sol.
Stonebwoy was able to beat the competition he faced to win the Award suggesting the broad appeal of his music not only to the matured minds but also to the younger generation both within Ghana and Africa.
The artiste wasn’t present to receive the awards but they played his video where he expressed his joy at winning the award.
Stonebwoy took to his Instagram to announce to his fans who voted for him to win the award.
