Kojo Cue and Lil Shaker Joint Album -Pen and Paper Listening Session

Assuming you’ve never been to an album listening session before, let me explain how they normally play out: A bunch of journalists and “industry types” converge in the offices of the record label, or whatever space they have on hand.

The assembled mass is provided refreshments and people sit around nodding their heads and making small talk whilst the album plays over a low-quality speaker system, all the while smiling politely even if it’s really fucking terrible.

All in all, they’re rather tame events.

But this is Lil Shaker and Kojo Cue’s Pen and Paper held at the BBnZ office. The album, known better on as Pen and Paper, will be released exclusively on Aftown.

The duo played all 7 out of 12 tracks from their album and promised that the Pen and Paper fever will continue throughout the weekend as they perform it live at Alliance Française this Saturday, 14th October.

The hip hop album was not made for the masses, but for the hiphop and rap lover and consumers. the album which boast of 12 tracks which were produced by Ghana’s best producers in the game and also features other illustrious acts, the likes of Magnom, Cina Soul, Kwesi Arthur,Rumour, e.t.c.

And its got songs like Pen and Paper, being the official single of the album.

Pressure another song on the the album by the duo which is was judged as soothing sound by worth paying for is on the album as well, Outro by Lil Shaker and Cina Soul is a song that full of truths and struggles in the music industry and the pressures a musician goes through.

Another banger tune is Blue film by the duo, Up and Away which features underrated maestro Kwesi Arthur is as well litty. Untitled is got eveyone grooving and nodding to the beat, its a track you will definitely repeat after its first play.

Every song we heard last night was heavily influenced by life experiences, pressure and truths in the music scene and the lives of the duo.

They gave us chill joints, songs that’ll have your head nodding uncontrollably, and smoker anthems that put you in the mind of what a regular day riding through the streets of Accra.

Pen and Paper is definitely going be one of the best hiphop/rap album in the country.
