More honours keep coming for Ghanaian artists as a dancehall artist Stonebwoy is recognised in the USA.
Stonebwoy has been awarded with a citation for his promotion of music by New York City.
The Senator of the 20th District in New York City, Lawyer Jesse Hamilton presented the citation to Stonebwoy for his role in the development of Caribbean music and arts over the years in Brooklyn.
With the ever continuing debate as to the genre dancehall and it being foreign, this recognition will further sway the voices in favour of the advocates of it being a foreign culture.
The Caribbean music and arts development citation receiver was honoured after his performance at the 50th New York Caribbean Festival.
