Secular musicians have also been called by God – Joyce Blessing’s manager states
Ghanaian artistes, like many others in the world are expected to be versatile and display adaptability in different genres of music.
For reasons that are known, and others unknown, some Ghanaian artistes decided to make a switch over from secular music to gospel music.
A significant example is Kuami Eugene, who started in church as a young upcoming gospel artiste, but had to abandon gospel music because of lack of support from church folks.
Nii Atakora stated that those who sing secular music but not gospel have also been called by God to do exactly so.
Nii Atakora answered on Sunny FM about his artiste – Joyce Blessing “It’s Joyce Blessing’ calling so I will say that it is God’s decision for her to do gospel music instead of singing about secular songs.
“The person who is also doing secular music I will say that is what the person has been called by God to do exactly so,” Nii Atakora continued.
He defines a gospel musician as one who is born-again and does music as a ministry.
“From where I stand, anybody who sings a gospel song must have an encounter with Christ.
