Photo: Lamisi launches Brighter Side album with a virtuoso concert

On the 23rd of February 2019, Lamisi proved why music is magical and relieving when passion is added to it at the launch-concert of her album, Brighter Side.

The event, held at Alliance Française, was graced by several key industry players and artists including GHAMRO President, Rex Omar, Samini, Ben Brako, Kiki Banson and the legendary Atongo Zimba known for his mega-hit song ‘No Beer In Heaven’.

Patrons who witnessed the bankable and versatile performances of all songs on the Brighter Side debut album by Lamisi admitted that it was raw talent on display.

She gave value to her music by magnifying her office of combining good vocals with a never seen before side of her – a delivery of entertaining dance steps.

The night was blessed with series of fun packed surprises and colourful emotions when Rex Omar was the first to purchase a hard copy of the Brighter Side album for Gh¢ 1000, followed by other specials guests and fans.

International publicist, A&R, author and brand geek, Elorm Beenie, registered his presence as well.

Before Lamisi gave off that memorable one night only performance, renowned poet, Nana Asaase, performed a wonderful piece of art that honoured the Lamisi.

No attendee can also forget the stunning display of raw talent by the ever-confident Martin Luther King Band. The teenage band gave off wonderful renditions of popular reggae and dancehall songs.

Getting to the end of the event Lamisi pulled out legendary Atongo Simba known for his mega-hit song “In Heaven There’s No Beer” on stage to perform.

Drawing down the curtains, Samini was there as a guest, but ended up mounting the stage to shower his blessings on her by freestyling her name on one of his major hit songs “Where My Baby Dey”.

The Brighter Side album is a 12-track body of work by Lamisi that features music from diverse Ghanaian genres mostly sang in English and her language of birth.

The album is available for purchase and streaming on all music stores.
