Last Sunday, was a night to remember as the MTN Hitmaker 7 Grand Finale went down at the Accra International Conference Centre, attracting thousands of expectant family members, fans and the general public in support of their individual finalists.

The talented gems that made it into the final four slots of the competition were, Awal, OV, Amakye And Ezra Tamaa but in the end, it was OV from Dansoman who won the ultimate.

The show commenced with an opening act by all four-finalist doing a rendition of R2Bees’ ‘Boys Kasa’, which set the tone for a really entertaining night.

Naterial, the winner of MTN Hitmaker Season 1, also treated the packed auditorium to jamming tunes that justified his status as one of the real talents that have ever won previous seasons of the reality show.

He also shared the stage with hitmaker legends like Koo Ntakra and Torgbe, who actually took off in anger in the middle of his performance due to negative feedback from the audience.

The four finalists mounted the stage and delivered exceptional renditions of songs from their individual favourite artistes with Amakye pulling off a memorable performance amongst the lot.

Highly Spiritual Music signees were not left out as they made Kaywa, one of the judges for the night and owner of their label, proud with their intriguing acts on stage.

The contestants were now charged to show the world what they were made of by pouring out their souls into the performance of their own scripted songs.

OV, in this instance, delivered a captivating act that got the approval an appraisal of all and sundry gathered there with Richie, an MTN Hitmaker Season 7 judge and C.E.O of Lynx Entertainment, admitting that she is what the industry needs.

Awal and Ezra, on the other hand, weren’t quite up to their usual ‘A’ game with Ezra specifically being told that she was still a rough talent that needed to sharpen up.

The night couldn’t have been complete without the electrifying performances of Ghana’s hottest deals, KiDi, Kuami Eugene and Kurl Songx as they turned the AICC into one big party hall with the delivery of their individual back to back hit songs.

After an interesting way to introduce the climax of several weeks of hard work for each of the finalists, the moment they had all been waiting for was at hand. OV beat the other 3 contestants to the crown with Awal being the 1st runner-up, Amakye and Ezra being the 2nd and 3rd runner-up respectively.
