Mr. Eazi, Burnaboy other Nigerian acts react to SA’s xenophobic attacks

Several A-list Nigerian artistes including Tiwa Savage, Mr. Eazi and Burnaboy have reacted to to the ongoing xenophobic attacks on other Africans, predominantly Nigerians living in South Africa.

According to Mr Eazi, South Africans are fighting the wrong enemy since the real enemy is rather poverty. In a pinned tweet on his official account he cautioned: “Fight the real ENEMY!! Fight POVERTY!!!!”

According to africanews.com, police in South Africa have been overwhelmed by looters in the latest round of SA’s xenophobic attacks by residents of Jappestown, an area close to commercial hub, Johannesburg.

Multiple local media outlets said rampant looting of shops and torching of buildings had been registered in the riots. The portals add that looters have targeted businesses of foreigners.

An angry BurnaBoy, who was boiling with rage took to his Twitter timeline to express his displeasure on SA’s xenophobic attacks after a hiatus from social media.

Songstress Tiwa Savage has also expressed her disgust in a tweet and has even cancelled a major event she had coming up in South Africa.
