Get to know young singer, songwriter; Kafui Chordz

Kafui Chordz (formerly known as Celly Chordz) born Celestine Ama Serwaa Kafui Agropah is a Ghanaian singer and songwriter.

Her comfortable genres include Afro-soul, Afro-pop, RnB, Highlife and HipHop. Her passion for music started at quite an early age and every chance she got to do anything musical, she took it.

One of those was her decision to learn how to play the piano whilst a student at the University of Ghana.

In early 2016 she decided to kick start her professional music journey and began recording some of the songs she had written.

Her debut single “Finally Us” released in May 2016 was the icebreaker for her career and introduction into the industry.

This was followed by other singles such as “Mess Me Up” (August 2017) which came alongside a music video.

She also released some covers which were well received by her fans and all music lovers at large, one of them being a Highlife themed mashup released in February 2018 which propelled her further into her journey as a musician and gained her some popularity among the music-loving community in Ghana.

Her debut album titled ‘PIECES IN PEACE’ was released in August 2018 which touched on many topics – Relationships, Social Issues, Inspirational Vibes and many more.

The LP has a combination of records that have been well crafted to suit many genres and tempos.

Kafui Chordz is currently an independent artiste and looks up to some great musicians like Asa, Emeli Sande, Mali Music, Kojo Antwi, Daddy Lumba, Eminem, Nas, Adele, Sia, etc.
