On Friday September 11, all roads would be leading to the Aviation Social Centre -Airport at 7:00pm for the much anticipated yet heated musical talent hunt competition dubbed 'STAR GRAB THE MIC'.
Over the past 8 weeks, 5 zones have seen a lot of talents treating some industry players as judges to some great tunes.
The likes of Cox Tamakloe -Programs Manager of Multimedia, Highlife sensation Kwabena Kwabena, the elegant Jackie Ankrah and Hiplife Star A Plus as judges has given the competition the heat it needs with their opinions, criticisms and views.
The Greater Accra Zone saw two songbirds emerging as winners - Raquel and Sheila. It was definitely a ladies affair. When the STAR train stormed the Eastern and Volta Zone, everyone was set to prove him or herself. After series of performances, 2 top finalists by names Roland and Charity saw their way through to the National finals. The Central and Western Zone produced Gabriel known in showbiz circles as "Ogabi" as the man of the moment with Caleb as the 1st runner up. Both of them booked their place in the National finals with their captivating performances.
Thinking I had seen it all, the Ashanti and Brong Ahafo Zone came alive as Richard Owusu and Ruth Ajadi tore the O Six Plaza apart with their thrilling performances. A stunning musical performance by Bradez, one of Ghana's music duo moved the crowd to their feet. No wonder the crowd didn't want to go back home.
On 22nd August, the Northern Block gave birth to two amazing contestants in the end. Ultimate Winner Joseph Buabeng and Mensah Appiah would represent the Northern Zone come September 11 at the Grand Finale.
The question is who will be crowned the STAR Ambassador as these 10 lovely contestants thrill the crowd that will gather to live band performances?
The venue still remains as the Aviation Social Centre -Airport.
