
Charter House announced the launch of its Stars of the Future (season 5) competition on Friday, in which 12 undiscovered acts will compete for the ultimate prize: A brand new car, recording deal and a cash reward.
The 13 week competition will include perfomance and eviction periods that will be aired on GTV and E TV. Since its inception, Stars of the Future's central mission has been discovering and featuring good music talents.
After listening to Sedem Ofori, the host for sometime, he outdoored Abigail Bih, Asantewaah Essel, Daniella Dankwah-Coffie (Niiella), David De-Graft Crentsil, Elizabeth Joseph, Emmanuel Yawson, Grace Ocansey, Henry Nuamah, Kwame Wiredu, Rauhel Halidou Yacouba, Reynolds Kwame Addow and Wiyaala to which they performed R Kelly's 'World Greatest' later.
Irene Logan, winner of the maiden edition of SOF advised the 12 finalists to believe in themselves and also see each other not as enemies but competitors.
Producer and manager Kiki Banson, sound engineer and music director Zapp Mallet and radio presenter Doreen Andoh were appointed as judges.
The launch took place at Charter House, new TV station named GhOne Studios which had music acts like Fritz, Bertha, Kesse, Irene, Adina, Efya and Christain gracing the occasion.
