The much-awaited musical concert dubbed ‘I love My Life’, which will feature top Jamaican music icon Demarco will take place on Saturday, July 7 at the Dome of the Accra International Conference Centre.
The event, which was originally scheduled for July 1, had to be postponed to July 7 due to technical issues.
At a press conference to announce the new date to the public last Sunday, Ghana’s Samini, who is hosting Demarco in Ghana, noted that the concert was postponed because there were some problems with flight connections from one country to the other, which complicated Demarco’s journey to Ghana.
Samini, who apologised to Ghanaians for the postponement, assured Ghanaians and music fans that the show would definitely come on, on July 7.
The press conference was attended by CEO of Phamous Media Group, Mr. Gerald Boakyi of LCA Ghana, Samini, highlife legend Rex Omar and Mr. Andrew, Demarco’s business manager.
A video footage of Demarco, who is expected in the country on Thursday July 5, reassuring Ghanaians of his arrival, was played to the media.
According to the organizers of the event, tickets already sold were still valid for the new date.
Artistes selected to perform alongside Demarco include Rex Omar, Kwabena Kwabena, Tinny, Asem, Edem, Kaki, Tinny, Jupiter, Nsemkwa (Yaa Pono), Myron AK, among others.
Eazzy is billed to hit the stage for the first time since she got back from the Big Brother Stargame house in South Africa.
