The Shining Beach at Nungua will on January 1, 2010 rock with the best music as Nigerian reggae superstar Ras Kimono hits town.

Kimono will be performing live with his Ghanaians counterparts Blakk Rasta and Fiifi Selah of TH4Kwages fame in a concert dubbed “The African Reggae Earthquake.”

Blakk Rasta, who is also a lead organiser describes the concert as a “father-and-son affair” citing Kimono’s role in his stardom.

Ras Kimono, known in Ghana and West Africa for his Under Pressure and What’s gwan songs, has not been to Ghana for over a decade now.

The show which is expected to attract thousands of fans will “usher in the new year on a positive, conscious note,” organisers say.

There would also be a launching of Blakk Rasta’s Voice of the African Rebel hit and Fiifi Sella’s Made in Africa song. Both songs feature prominently on the Blakk & Tuff record label.

Other artists on the bill include Bandana, Asem, Richie, Eazzy, OJ Black, Vibration Kings, Judah I, Ginger Man and Felix Jahno.

The port of call for the team will be the Tamale Sports Stadium on January 2nd where the Shining beach experience will be fully replicated.
