Multi-award winning singer Emmanuel Andrews popularly known as Samini is set to launch his fourth album aptly titled CEO in London on the 22nd of April at the plush IF BAR.
The MTV Euope Music Awards nominee is by far Ghana's biggest Musical star. His music is a mixture of highlife, reggae, Hip hop and Hiplife.
“I would say my music is a hybrid of inspirational music genres around me. I call my style African Dancehall, said Samini”.
Also known as Ghana's Buju Banton, his unsurpassed stage work is a true reﬂection of a musical icon that is destined to make it big in the mainstream world. Samini started singing at a tender age of 14 as part of a church choir. To many his burst to the scene has helped change the phase of African music in a positive way.
His ﬁrst album Dankwasere released in 2004 topped music charts for weeks winning several awards such as Ghana Music awards. The hit track Linda remains one of the household tracks in Africa today even years after its release.
The King of African Dancehall has since climbed to greater heights winning awards such as MTV Base best performer and performing with the likes of Sean Paul, Akon, Kelvin Little, Wayne Wonder, Shaggy, Damien Marley, Beenie Man, Jay-Z and many more. He has also collaborated with some of the industry best such as Etana, Sway, Nameless and Steel pulse.
His new album CEO (Crucial Entertainment Outlaw) which has been crowned the best album of the year at the Ghana Music Awards 2011, features MI, 2Face, R2bees and Kwaw Kesse. When asked why he termed the album CEO, Samini said.
“I wanted to bring into mind my style of music. My music is pure entertainment and when I perform I'm an outlaw”.
We will all agree that without a doubt, Samini represents the future of African music.

Since 2005, Samini has won awards each year to date such as the Ghana Music Awards, Mobo African Act Award in 2006, Best African Entertainer in 2010 and Many more. He recently won Best Album of the year at the Ghana Music Awards.
