Following his outstanding achievement in the Ghanaian music industry for the past decades, the management of Media Excel has announced that it will organize a choral musical concert to celebrate Professor Kwabena Nketia’s 90 years on earth.
Professor Kwabena Nketia is a renowned Africanist, teacher, ethro-musicologist, composer and poet and a former director of the Institute of African Studies of the University of Ghana and the International Centre for African Music and Drama (ICAMD), Ghana.
According to Media Excel Productions, the choral concert which would be used to launch the Professor Nketia Music Foundation will take place at the National Theatre in Accra on June 25.
The choral concert, which is expected to attract music lovers from all over the country, as well as a large number of the stakeholders in the music industry, will feature some selected choral musical groups.
The event will be a night of fun and glamour for music fans that troop to the National Theatre to watch various choral groups live on stage.
Media Excel Productions, which has Ernest Kwesi Ennin, a music producer and artistes manager as its chief executive, is an event company which is deeply involved in event production, marketing, music production, artiste management and music merchandise.
The company has successfully organized events such as Bernice Offei @ 30 gospel concert, Akosua Agyapong @ 20 concert, YAFCA fund raising, Africa Union board float at Elubo and Ghana@ gospel musical festival.
