As the time gets closer for her ‘Be My Guest Executive Concert’ scheduled for September 21 at the Alisa Hotel in Accra, gospel singer, Herty Borngreat has been finding ways to carry the audience along with her at the show.
That’s obviously, the reason behind her recent release of three new hot singles in addition to Stronger which came out a few weeks ago.
The new songs were recorded by Kaywa and they are Except Baba (Nobody), Push (Don’t Stop Now) and Hold On (Not Late).
On Except Baba, she announces that she could be referred to as ‘Lady with the Holy Swag.’ It a highly danceable track with lyrics easy to catch and which fans can sing along with glee.
If e no be my God, na where I go dey
Cos they kill us oo but we don’t die oo
They pull we down but we don’t fall
They throw go left then I go right
They throw go east then I come west
They throw punches, I dey dogde them
Only God can bring me down.
Push is a call on believers to hold on to their faith and never be discouraged. It has an infectious Azonto feel capable of getting people on their feet to dance at a concert.
Hold On is a reggae tune with lush horn arrangements. It is another inspiring track telling Christians they were created by God for a purpose and they must see their roles to win more souls for His kingdom.
Borngreat and her backing band are already hard at rehearsal to touch the target group of people usually unable to see her on other shows due to tight work schedules.
“It is the first show I’m headlining and I promise a good time for all who would be there,” Borngreat said in a chat.
Part of the proceeds from the Be My Guest concert will be channeled to support Borngreat’s charity work for students of the Akropong School for the Blind in the Eastern Region.
Tickets for both regular and VIP sections at the 6.00pm show are already out in major ticket sales outlets in Accra.
