The Busua Beach in the Western Region of Ghana promises to be exciting on Famer’s Day as this year’s Asabaako Music Festival comes off.
The three-day event will be laced with a lot of interesting activities and will feature some of Ghana’s most exciting breakthrough artistes, alongside DJs from around the world.
Friday will focus on hip life, GH rap and pop, heralding some of the country’s most exciting stars such as EL, Yaa Pono and Lil Shaker, and some upcoming talents from Takoradi, such as Sketches, Kofi Kinaata and Nero.
Saturday will be a celebration of live music, soul, jazz, highlife and hip hop, headlined by Wanlov the Kubolor and M3nsa, aka the FOKN Bois.
Sunday will be a reggae jam.
“The festival is called Asabaako, meaning one dance, as it represents the coming together of people from all around to enjoy Ghana and Africa.
It’s a chance to show the world all Ghana has to offer, from its rich history of music to its beautiful beaches to its passionate people,” festival organisers Beating Tracks noted in a news release.
Asabaako is a new concept which was launched in March 2011.
