"Danny Nettey & Friends Live Christmas Concert’ has always being the most anticipated gospel concert of every year.

The concert which draws a large following including loyal fans from outside Ghana, features the best talented and highly anointed gospel music ministers and instrumentalists and is always characterised by creative production, quality sound, a charged atmosphere of pure praise and worship and an intimate time of motivation and prayerful exhortations.

This year’s edition, according to Ps. Joseph Gyebi, a member of the concert organising team, is taking a national dimension and thus significantly themed ‘Unlimited Favour’ to mark a worship celebration of God’s favour on Ghana over the years in a special Christmas way.

The date for the concert is this Saturday, 25th December, 2010 at the plush La Palm Royal Beach Hotel for a cool rate of GHc 40.00 and the music ministers billed for the night apart from the evergreen Danny Nettey and his IAT Crew include the ever present Nii Okai, Ps. Helen Yawson, Ike Nanor, Cwasi Oteng, Koda and concert newcomers: Soul Winners and Nobel Nketiah.

The surprise guest for the event is the celebrated Nigerian Uche Agu of ‘My God is Good’ (Double Double) fame from his South African base.

Danny Nettey began playing the piano and writing songs at a tender age of six without formal training.

After accepting Jesus as his personal saviour and being glued to church activities throughout school and at home, Danny’s distinctive talent for music evolved and with encouragement coming from notable friends and spiritual fathers, a path was paved towards his ministry unto the nations with the gospel through anointed music.

The blues influenced music minister today radiates passion and anointing in a way beyond words  in his ministrations which are distinctly crossover fusions of African and contemporary R&B, Jazz and soul rhythms. Having ministered with and toured with the likes of Ron Kenoly, Lionel Petersen, Don Moen, Alvin Slaughter, Kirk Franklin, and Israel Houghton all over the world, Danny is known to be a passionate live worshipper drawing resemblance in vocal traits with the legendary Bebe Winans and Donnie McClurkin.

His albums are gospel classics out of which have borne many household worship songs such as ‘I Will Worship You’, ‘Adom’, ‘Metease’, ‘I Believe’, etc... He recently joined Joy FM as a presenter of ‘Worship Zone’ (a Sunday afternoon music programme) to broaden his radio evangelism and promote quality and anointed gospel music that would not normally get radio airplay. Danny has some projects in the pipeline: writing a book on worship and putting together a music devotional known as ‘Closet Worship’.

Minister Danny Nettey represents a generation of gospel music ministers that has come to understand the pivotal role gospel music plays in the life of the believer, and the need for quality to be packaged in the praise and worship of God.

Nevertheless, to Danny, it is not all about the music and the various opportunities that are associated with ministry; rather it is about developing a personal relationship with God, touching the father’s heart and affecting the lives of the people God has placed in your hand as service to His kingdom.

This year’s Christmas concert according to Danny himself Danny promises to be another memorable experience and one cannot afford to miss out on this Christmas celebration of thanksgiving for God’s unlimited favour on Ghana, plus new and favourite CD’s, DVD’s and souvenirs of the ministering artistes would be available for patrons to purchase at special costs.

Come celebrate Christmas in a special way with one of Ghana’s most anointed music ministers and his other well-known ministry friends this Saturday and offer thanksgiving praise to God for his unlimited favour!
