When you get to Accra International Conference Center, Dome, on Saturday 16th, October, 2010, the first thing you’ll probably notice is the 'well prepared' event which will be an entertaining night with memorable musical performances and beauty queens on stage.
Banky W, is an exceptional writer, blogger, philanthropist, songwriter, producer, an accomplished Master of Ceremonies/host and vocalist. The US born, Olubankole started singing in churches.
If you are familiar with “Strong Ting” and “Lagos Party”, then you know it’s coming from Banky W aka Mr. Capable.
Banky W has bagged awards such 2003 R&B/Soul Artist of the Year at the Urban Independent Music Awards, US Songwriting Award, 2006 Nigerian Entertainment Award – R&B/Soul Artist of the Year and 2007 International Single of the Year, worldwide John Lennon Songwriting Award in the R&B Category.
His good soul music has made him travel to tour North America, Africa and Europe.
Next on the list is VIP.VIP's music career has spawned over the years with hits such as “Ahomka Womu”, “Besin” and the recent hits “I Think I Am" and “Away”.
They have headlined every Charter House event and have scored good marks on stage.
Charter House is bringing back Praye since it’s been a while they mounted stages to perform. Songs expected from them are "Angelina", "Nkoaa", and the new ones, "Independent", "Dzigbodi" and "New Dance".
Trigmatic is making his official debut at a Charter House event. He recently had a mammoth album launch and hopes the same fans will be in the auditorium.
D-Black is one of the latest additions to pageantry show. He also recently released his album, "Love, Money & Music and has picked up nominations at Channel O Music Video Awards, 4Stye TV Music Video Awards, Sound City Awards (Nigeria) and African Music Awards (UK). But he has pushed that aside to dish out good music on Saturday.
The past winners are Melissa Baba, Hamamat Montia, Laurie Naa Lamle Lawson, Tamara Aku Dzormeku and the reigning queen Giselle Addai. It is a win situation for both queens and viewers.
The pageant will see one lady drive home a brand new KIA Cerato and all those excellent sponsors’ prizes, including a Year’s Contract as a Charity Icon for MTN, the leading telecoms network in Ghana, and the one lucky texter gets to go to Egypt.
Also supporting the series is First Choice, UB Hair Relaxer and Sultana Tomato Paste with MTN been the headline sponsor.
