Wao! Dan Amakye Dede (Abrantie) has never been known to brag this much – to do something he’s never done in his decades old musical career, come Monday, December 27 when he holds Amakye Dede live in Concert at the Accra International Conference Centre.
“This is my concert”, exclaimed Abrantie Amakye Dede when he made a brief promo appearance on Ghana’s biggest breakfast show on Joy FM, the Super Morning Show Wednesday.
“I will charge!” said the always-in-season musician, who urged patrons to come expecting something different from him and his Apollo High Kings band on the 27th when he takes the stage along with other golden voices – the soft-spoken Daasebre Gyamena and the romantic Kwabena Kwabena. No Tribe will be jamming, and so will the durable Wulomei.
The Amakye Dede live in Concert is the baby of Adom FM and E-volution International, sponsored by rLG Communications, who Abrantie said, will be out to surprise patrons with gifts for the Yuletide.
“It will be Serious! Serious!! Serious!!!” Amakye Dede teased in a chat with host Kojo Oppong-Nkrumah, whom he also invited to partner him on stage for a performance.
According to Amakye Dede, Ghanaians and particularly his fans have shown him exceeding love and he is out to appreciate all that they have done for him. He is out to last the entire programme, unlike those occasions when he featured on other programmes and therefore played 15 or 20 minutes.
The event kicks off at 8pm, and tickets selling at GH¢50, are available at all Zenith Bank branches, Joy FM, Adom FM, Koala at Osu and at Abrantie Spot.
