Construction workers at on a site in Spintex had seized tapes from the shoot of Stay Jay’s video for his new single, My Baby (featuring Mugeez).Audio: My Baby by Stay Jay feat. Mugeez
According to them, the Prepaid Girl rapper was ‘illegally’ shooting the video on their property without their consent.
The foreman on the site, ordered the workers to take the tape from the shoot so they report the case to the owner of the uncompleted building Stay Jay was using as the location for his video.
Stay Jay’s manager, J Black said, for over two weeks, his outfit, Unda One Entertainment, and the director of the video, Jorge Forman, were chasing the construction worker and the owner of the property (a Ghanaian who lives abroad) for their tape.
“It took to intervention of some well-meaning person to get our hands on the tape just last week and the director has since been working on its completion.”
September 22nd, 2012 has set at the date for the premiere of the video.
The premiere would take place at the plush Aphrodisiac Nite Club from 9pm. The Mixmaster Garzy-produced love number is a departure from the azonto style of music which is known to be Stay Jay’s comfort zone.
