It is without a doubt that, Sarkodie touted as Ghana's fastest rapper was one of the artistes that made the most impact in year 2008 to date. Therefore it would have made sense for him to have been nominated in the upcoming Ghana Music Awards.
However, it is reported that the rapper officially withdrew from any possible nomination in this year's awards ceremony following a meeting with the selection committee of the GMA yesterday.
His decision was informed by controversies about whether his music was commercially released during the period under contention. Sarkodie has therefore agreed to work towards his album launch by the end of the month and promote it through 2009-10.
