Ghana's international reggae artiste, Rocky Dawuni, fresh from headlining this year’s Journey of the Spirit Festival in Rome, returns to Ghana today for his annual Independence Day bash.
Rocky, who is currently based in Los Angeles in the United States, will also release his seminal ‘Hymns of a Rebel Soul’ album while here.
Sources close to Rocky say he will also do his usual charity work in addition to in store signing sessions following the release of his album.
The album is a collection of songs that reflect Rocky’s worldview since he embarked on his musical crusade.
The soft-spoken militant singer believes this album is a reflection of his religious and social aspirations where he sees the world as one big happy family.
Part of the proceeds from the album sale will go to support Africa Live, a charity project Rocky has been involved in.
Rocky is also a UNICEF ambassador and he has been involved in a number of projects for the organisation.
Fans should look out for an explosive Independence Day musical bash on March 6.
