Praye say their "Roll Koll 2008" album has sold at least 300,000 copies. In a private briefing by the trio, they noted that this album is the most financially successful since their debut.
The album’s hit track was released in August last year as a single and by the time Ghana’s elections and yuletide came so close, the song had become a household song and even the tension of the general elections could not stop people from shaking to it implausibly good tune.
The song bagged two awards at the 2009 Ghana Music Awards (GMA); the first for most popular song of the year and the other, Afro Pop song of the year.
DJ Mensa is one of Ghana’s finest DJ’s. He said in an online chat that he believes Asantehene’s favorite song is ‘Angelina’. Mensa who was on his way to play for the King that weekend simply said “I think his favorite song is Angelina”.
Since the trio stormed the music scenes of Ghana in 2004, they have been renewed every year and for their efforts they have received Awards from KORA and the GMA.
