Obour, last Friday launched ‘Save a Life with a Text Message’ to augment his previous campaigns on supporting road safety programmes and activities in the country.
The campaign urges every Ghanaian to send text messages worth GH¢1 to all mobile networks on short code 1947.
It also forms part of activities to mark the joint 10th Anniversary celebrations of both the National Road Safety Commission (NRSC) and the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA).

Road traffic injuries, he added, caused disabilities to several degrees around the globe with death tolls of about 2 million.
“In Ghana, we continue to lose friends, breadwinners and the productive youth to accidents which are avoidable and manageable through sustained publicity and road user campaigns among others”, he observed.
