
Knii Lante has released his first official reggae single, ‘house of pain’, and has been enjoying appreciable airplay in Accra on some major reggae shows on radio. ‘House of pain’ is a soulful lovers’ rock precursor to Knii Lante’s forthcoming full reggae album set to be released internationally by summer of 2013. The song was recorded and produced in Jamaica by Dean Fraser at Grafton Complex, an internationally acclaimed studio in Kingston.
The studio has hosted reggae acts such as Maxi Priest, Ziggy Marley, Third World, and is currently a stable for Tarrus Riley and, Duane Stephenson, who performed as a backing vocalist on House Of Pain.
The soon to be released video of ‘house of pain’, is directed by Take2 Films, and has been scheduled for a mid October release.
Under the management of Deluge Music, Knii Lante is an unsigned singer, songwriter and a medical practitioner, based in Accra. He was recently the headline performer at the 103rd Kwame Nkrumah birthday anniversary symposium held in Accra on 21st September.
Knii Lante’s 2010 debut album, Love & Revolution, which features Sway [UK]-’hips n sway’, Trigmatic-’when you love someone’, Leboo- ‘Lagos to Vienna’, and his Ga love ballad ‘Bo Noor’ won him, Best Male Vocalist, at the 2010 Ghana Music Awards.
