The Ewe hiphop/hiplife rapper, Ayigbe Edem denies reports that he stole her ex-lover’s $14, 000 mobile phone, despite all of the reports of the P&P newspaper dated 2nd November, 2009 in a press conference last Friday.
Ayigbe Edem mentioned in his speech that he and Confidence were officially dating eight months ago. And even after when they came back from the Aboakyere festival, Confidence threw a party for him 2 days after so he was amazed about the events that came up. Watch Nyornuviade by Ayigbe Edem feat. However, the star insists, "It's not true that I stole a mobile phone. “After the matter came out, I personally called Confidence on phone to ask her about what I was hearing and she replied by saying she was not ready to talk about”, Ayigbe Edem said.
As for how the rumor may have started, Edem said he started hearing it on the streets, his friends and later saw it on her Face Book page body written that “My boyfriend has stole my phone”.
Ayigbe Edem also stated clearly that hopes after this press conference it will close the chapter on the assumed mobile theft.
Ghana Music.com asked what kind of phone cost $14, 000 and Edem replied that it was a Nokia phone.
Ayigbe Edem doesn’t seemed bother about the false accusation and ended by saying “Ï was born with swag so I don’t think it will affect my career”.
