We've been seeing tweets on the popular social networking site twitter for sometime now about the new artistes who have joined Black Avenue Muzik, mentioning names like ‘Joey B, A.J Omo Alajah, Young Dapper, Dein and Ayraaba but were yet to be introduced commercially to the public besides Joey B who D-Black featured on his hit song ‘VERA’ and Young Dapper whose music video for the hiphop club banger ‘MOVE THIS’ featuring D-Black just recently hit our screens.
Last weekend however at the Musiga Tribute Concert in honor of our late President John Evans Atta-Mills (may his soul rest in perfect peace) at Trade Fair, D-Black 'the Ghana Bwouy' who was billed to perform, came on stage to tumultuous applause with two new ones, introducing them as Dein & Aj Omo Alajah.
They (Dein & Aj Omo Alajah) joined D-Black on stage to perform ‘More VIM’ a brand new song off the upcoming Black Avenue Muzik All Stars Compilation Album.
More Vim, produced by B.A.M producer Sammie Blacc is a fuse of Hip Hop & Funk with a touch of rap from the streets! Aj Omo Alajah took on the singing as Dein crashed in with the rap verses which got the crowd screaming - satisfied at her delivery for a female. Then followed D-Black’s performance of undoubtedly the most popular song in Ghana right now ‘VERA’. The crowd went ecstatic!!
Aj Omo Alajah and Dein are both of Nigerian origin with a little Ghanaian heritage and live in Ghana. The other B.A.M members like Joey B were absent as he is currently in the U.K promoting his new single ‘Azonto Bomb’, the13 year old Young Dapper in the U.S.A finishing up with school and Ayraaba who in medical school in Ghana. In a private chat with D-Black he said," ... all i can say is Ghana and Africa should get ready 'cos Black Avenue Muzik is coming with a BANG!!
Our first All Stars song that has all six of us on it comes out on the 10th of September and with a beautiful video following. It’s titled ‘Wakpa Baby’ which just means don’t cry baby.
