
Obour will be managing the affairs of the Musician Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) for the next four years 2011- 2015. Obour now takes over from Mrs Diana Hopeson.
Obour rolled out a comprehensive seven point agenda which he called A-J-U-M-M-P-A (Administration, Jobs, Unity, Music Business, Ageing, Policies and Achievements).
Obour battled it out against Gyedu Blay Ambolley, Nana Tuffour and Willi Roi at the Radach Memorial Center in Tamale where he was named the new president today.
Kaakyire Kwame Appiah – 1st Vice President of MUSIGA
Bessa Simons – 2nd Vice President of MUSIGA
Chizzy Wailer – National Organiser of MUSIGA
Deborah Freeman – General Secretary of MUSIGA
Obour got 64 votes, Nana Tuffour got 51 votes, Ambolley had 19 votes and Willie Roi only 2 votes.
