“Oooh my God Chipmunk was amazing! He was so much better than I expected and I would recommend it to anyone. The support acts were good too. I would definitely go see him again. A great night! I had”, a fan of Chipmunk said when she was interviewed by Ghana Music.com after the show. Chipmunk is the latest in the line of grime artists in UK and was the headline act for Ghana Rocks 2011.

This year's Ghana Rocks crowd was made up mainly of 12-24 year olds who went nuts as DJ Black of Joy FM dished out azonto  songs from his well selected playlist.

Young Dapper, the young US 10 years old boy bounced out onto the stage to commence the show. The venue went mad.

The following act was Kaakie. This is the second time I have seen Kaakie live and I have to say her voice is incredible I don’t think people really appreciate that. Dee Moneey came on stage to do that one song everyone knows, 'Kpokpo Body'.

The audience got a great reaction when it was 'Azonto' back to back from Keche, Yaw Siki and Gasmilla to which the crowd wanted more from them.

Next came the turn of Castro and Funny. They totally killed it, every single person in the The Dome at some point during their set were on their feet screaming and singing along with them when they did 'Banana'.

VIP performed favourites likes ‘Besin’, 'Change Position’,  Daben Na Odo Beba' and 'Away'.

A true well-rounded performer, Stay Jay danced and sang around the beautifully laid out stage – drawing the audience into his voice and the stories behind each of his songs.

4x4, who were the surprise acts for the nite had whole audience screaming and singing along as soon as they touched the stage.

When D-Black performed “My Kinda Girl” and the drop hit, everyone was going nuts. He later put up a competition to any of his fans in the crowd to challenge his two female dancers to win 100 dollars.

When Fuse ODG finished his performance you felt like you had just seen the main act, his audience participation was on point and his on stage presence was 100 percent especially when Tiffany joined her and later treated the fans to her own 'Fake London Boy' and 'Last One' songs.

Kwaw Kese took to the stage with his hype man, Ex Doe and Dadie Opanka rocking a camouflage uniform. Kwaw Kese is one of the hottest hiplife artists in the game without any doubt watching him run through hit after hit you realise how many smashes this guy has written.

It was great to see Buk Bak give the audience what they wanted, arriving on stage to screams louder than the bass heavy sounds provided by Silicon House. Bright and Ronny Coaches dived into their catalogue of old classic hits before treating the crowd to the song of the moment, 'Kolom.

The time was set for Chipmunk to come up. Dressed in a simple lacaoste T-shirt and khaki shorts, he kicked off his performance over Ace Hood's 'Hustle' beat spitting out his lyrics over the top.

He tells the crowd they look lively and is met with more roars of appreciation, before treating them to his ''White Lighter' song by telling everyone to put his lighter or mobile phone in the air.

Sarkodie joined Chipmunk onstage for an exclusive live performance of the azonto dance. The north London MC’s blessed the crowd with his 'imperfect' azonto dance over Sarkodie's 'U Go Kill Me' song.

Chipmunk ended his night on a particularly effective poignant note, telling the crowd of teens that he thanked them for coming to see him.
