True fans of Kwaadee gathered in front of the stage as KOD introduced Kwaadee. It didn’t look like Okomfo Kwaadee was itching to get back his career because the hiplife artiste was on point with all his lyrics as the fans too sang along. View Photos from Okomfo Kwaadee in concert.
The 90 minute performance was a perfect masterpiece; the big-top theme was very definitive to his latest album. The show did justice to the single titled ‘Me Nie’, it had all the ingredients of a Kwaadee who is a good story teller. Listen to Menie by Okomfo Kwaadee
Okomfo Kwaadee who suffered a public meltdown some years, proved he was a different young man on stage but before that Asaase Aban, Bracket, Ahenkwa Da Kalibous, Kodi Vyros, Peter of TV3 Mentor fame, Hmode, Nii, Iwan, Da Bradez, Mad Fish, Lil Bounty, Akwaada Nyame, Dadie, Echo, Pope Skinny, Kwame Species, Konfi, Ayigbe Edem and Czar.
As soon as the Nigerian cool brother named Flavour stepped, the audience mouthed the words of “Nwa Ashawo” - "Sawa Sawa Sawale, Sawa Sawa Sawale, Ashawoo!!!!!!
On the bright side, Samini’s energetic performance was a big hit. MTN music ambassador, Samini proved he was back on form last night when he gave an excellent performance since his catastrophic performance at the Busta Rhymes concert.
The night's maestro, Kwaadee, got some love from Kwaw Kese, Obour, Okyeame Kwame, K. K. Fosu, Castro and Joe Frazier who came on stage to share a few lines with him.
Earlier this week Abraham Ohene Djan, creative director of the concert has that there will be similar ‘comeback concerts in areas like Kumasi, Takoradi and unconfirmed areas.
Okyeame Kwame who was spotted in red silky suit called Kwaadees's performance a "highlight" saying, "I respect this guy so much and sharing stage with him is a big plus to my career”.
Well, he might not have opened the show, but maybe he got his words sank in everybody’s ear drums that he is back.
