Last year’s winner of the Stars of the Future singing competition, Adina Ndamse revealed at the season’s finale of the competition over the weekend that she has evolved into a trio that would be known as Thembi (which is also her middle name). It was not clear whether they would record and perform under that name. However, Adina performed at the show with her other colleagues although it was clear that she was in the lead.
She also talked about her debut album which would hit the streets very soon and was full of appreciation for her manager, Kiki Banson. Her music is deeply influenced by hiphop and R&B and she relied quite heavily on productions from renowned sound engineer and rapper, Jayso for the upcoming album.
Adina and her girls thrilled the audience at the National Theatre with their well rehearsed stage craft which was not just strong on vocals but also on their dancing skills.
It looks like, Adina and her group will be able to follow the success of the original winners of the Stars of the Future, Irene and Jane.
