In 2005, 2Toff hit the music scene with a bang and shortly after that success, went under as nothing was heard from them. But after several years out of the game, they say they are back to stay.

The duo of Richard Oguns (Ogunskele) and Ureach Addy (Red Eye), say they have been away in Virginia, USA seeking greener pastures and are now back to Ghana for good to continue their music careers.

Speaking on Day Break Hitz on Hitz FM Thursday, the duo recounted the several challenges they both went through in Ghana during their early years in music and what made them travel to the US.

Ogoonskele recalled that in 2007, while visiting Red Eye; he had an accident on the Tema Motorway in which he lost the daughter. Compounding that loss was several managerial misunderstandings between them and their management, Nature Works Entertainment.

“2Toff was not getting to where we [wanted] to get to...We thought what the record label was doing, we could have done better...it wasn’t going the business way we wanted,” Ogunskele explained.

“We were new in the industry...people were trying to [pull] us back...we weren’t grown. Red and I at that time were young. We didn’t know a lot of things we were doing...Now we are grown,” he emphasized.

After those 'lost' years, they are coming out with a new album, 2Toff is Back. This they say holds reflections of what they have gone through in life over the past years and it has greatly influenced the album.

The album will be launched November 26 at Cinderella’s night club.

They now have three albums to their credit and this will be the first time they are launching an album.

Most of the songs on the album were recorded in the US and it features Kwaw Kesse and SK Blinkz and riding on their own record label, Loyal Entertainment.

The duo said the time is now right for them to claim their rightful place in Ghanaian music.

2Toff 'America' as they are widely known released their first album titled Oblayoo in 2005 with their hit song Ye Ba Bra which featured Castro receiving Best Discovery nomination at the Ghana music Awards.

The duo released Odomu Nsem Sem as their second album but left the shores of Ghana soon after.

Red Eye who doubles as a Sound Engineer is the main force behind the groups beats and he has also composed beats for several artistes in the industry.
