One of Ghana’s most prolific sound engineers Joseph Appiah, aka Quick Action has embarked on a landmark project to teach young people the rudiments of music. The ‘Yosef Project’, a workshop of sorts that aims to teach children in various parts of the community how to play musical instrument and also to unearth and/or enhance their musical potential, be it singing, rapping or playing and instrument.
Quick Action and his team have already visited a number of schools and in Accra to carry out the laudable aims and objective of the project which would ultimately recapture the essence of highlife and traditional music in the Ghanaian music industry.
The ace producer, who is no stranger in the music industry, is working around the clock to be on top when it comes to good sound engineering in the music industry.
He joined the music industry a decade ago with TNT Recording Studio at Sakumono where he worked with the likes of Jeff Quaye, aka Jay-Q. He owns a studio, S24 Recording Studio, which is currently working on many songs for some hiplife artistes. Given his immense track record, he has produced hit songs for artistes such as VIP, Buk Bak, Obrafuor, Ofori Amponsah, Tic Tac, Samini, Afro Moses and a host of others.
