
The president of the Musicians Union of Ghana, Bice Osei Kuffour aka Obour has been elected into the Executive Committee of the International Federation of Musicians (FIM) at the just ended FIM 20th Congress in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The FIM Executive Committee is an eighteen member International Committee elected by congress to implement the decisions of Congress, the Highest decision making body of FIM.
The International Federation of Musicians, founded in 1948, is the international organization for musicians’ unions, guilds and professional associations and is now counting about 70 members throughout the world.
The Federation’s main objective is to protect and further the economic, social and artistic interests of musicians represented by its member unions.
Apart from Ghana, other Countries elected to have representation on the FIM Executive Committee were France, Bulgaria, Japan, Greece, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Senegal, Norway, Hungary, Israel, Argentina, Austria, Poland, Brazil, United Kingdom, Italy and India.
