Another group has finally emerged winners in the second season of Vodafone Icons mixed edition.

Last year had R&M winning the enviable title and prize package. This time the winning group takes home a brand-new car, GHC60, 000, a recording deal etc. The total package is being rumored to be worth about $200,000.

Following the competition keenly from the onset, one could identify the low level of vocal capacity most of the contestants started with. Their voices were disappointing to listen to & singing abilities were none-existent for many of them. It was clear that the selection process of contestants by the judges was questionable and the music team of Music Director & Voice Coach would face an uphill task to develop what was on ground.

However, as the competition progressed week after week, one could not help but notice the tremendous transformation taking place in every contestant and in every group; the judges began to give them remarks on their vocal improvements, a clear testament that the Voice Coach was indeed as has been renowned, ‘the best’.

Week after week, you would hear the contestants give credit to the magic duo of Kwame Yeboah the music Director of the show and Freeman the voice coach.

Exclusive interviews with several observers of the show & most of the contestants show that indeed the public recognizes and appreciate the work of the music faculty of Vodafone Icons.

Speaking to Freeman Ame, he revealed that, in spite of the fact that he’s worked on virtually all music reality shows in Ghana, this particular season was special because he had the privilege of working with a music director who knew what the business of music training was about and who was hard-working and on top of his game. Kwame Yeboah is the best and it’s been ‘game changing’ working with him Freeman stated.

Freeman has since the start of his career as a voice coach, worked in many countries around the World where he trained not only singers but pastors and Bishops, mobile phone customer service agents, Radio & TV presenters, stage actors and even beauty pageant contestants who have mostly ended up winning, to mention a few.

In recent times his international clientele includes clients from, Europe, Kenya, USA, South Africa and Canada. His Global influence spreads as far as Asia where the Philippines was his base to train wonderful musicians/performers an experience he refers to as a wonderful privilege till today.

In our society people like him are often overlooked and under appreciated until we lose them. We just want to take this opportunity to say ‘Ayeeko’ to this great man who has influenced many of our music & TV stars and has stayed simple in the process.

Freeman Ame Daniel is renowned as a voice coach and singer in Africa and ranked as one of the best. We end with one of Freeman’s most popular quotes, “Just because your voice is built into your body doesn’t mean you automatically know how to operate it, everyone needs voice training”.
