ColdEye moved to Ghana to check out the music-industry and find new inspiration. It was all about research and finding out if it was worth investing time, money and effort into Ghana’s entertainment industry.

"The time spend taught us a lot about how things are done and what changes need to happen in order for Ghana’s artists to survive, but also the frame of mind of the artists and the conflicts that occur between the different players of the game. Most artists say “I wanna go international”, but very few know what that actually means and the fact that you can’t make that happen on your own. It’s a team-effort and this is where greed and ego has to be set aside to make way for the bigger purpose. We hope that with time and experience people will realize what has to be done to ensure the future of our music industry, Stone (CEO of ColdEye Records) said.

The new ColdEye Studio in Ghana (Agboogba, Accra) is still being built and will be finished by October this year. With this studio they will further maintain their international level of music-production, video making and entertainment delivery.

We believe that one has to stay ahead of time and always take things a step further in the right direction. This means producing new and fresh music with artists who have the right attitude and will to succeed as part of a solid team, rather than as an individual, Stone continued.

"We are feeling positive about the future and we have a few artists in Ghana that we want to develop and push, but the time gotta be right for that, Ghana gotta be ready", Stone said.

ColdEye Records is looking into the new influences that are popular here in Dubai and they will start to work with the local artists to create a new and cool sound that we will bring with them back to Ghana.
