
The sixth season of Dancing in the Streets’ acclaimed Hip Hop Generation Next series celebrates the South Bronx Legendary Pioneer of Hip Hop alongside Victory Entertainment International Ghanaian performers, K-5 AZONTO Dancer and Fontomfrom – Ghanaian Drum/Dance Ensemble in the name of building a stronger relationship between African, Latin, and hip hop music and dance throughout the United States.
Late year was the first time ever, Ghanaians artist was giving a platform to on get on board for the HIP HOP GENERATION NEXT 2011 Block Party which serves as a plus and a historic moment for the Ghanaian music industry in the U.S.A and also tells you Hip Life music is going places.
The organizers of the program was so impressed with the Ghanaian performances, they invited us again for the HIP HOP GENERATION NEXT 2012 Block Party, which will feature Bronx own K5 and Azonto Dancer, as well as the famous Fontomfrom Dance Ensemble.
I find this to be a great honor because African acts are rarely included in American shows or programming. As one of the strong voices and advocate for the collaboration of the Ghanaian Culture in mainstream American culture, I believe these are great step toward the right direction for all future Ghanaian and other African acts and performances to streamline.
