    Stephanie Benson daughter's girl band nominated for MOBO Award

    Alexandra Stephanie Buggs, the beautiful songstress and daughter of Stephanie Benson who is always spotted with her long dark hair and her girl band - Stooshe; has been nominated at MOBO Awards 2012.

    Stooshe who attended last year's event has been nominated as the Best New Comer and very excited about it.

    “Were nominated for MOBO AWARD best new comer!!!! Aggghhhhhh! Last year we attended and no one knew who we was. Crazzzzyy! Please vote for us”, they posted on their official Facebook page.

    Speaking to Stephanie Benson who is been managed by One Mic Entertainment currently, she said; “I love her and I knew she will always be a star in my eyes. She is a great singer and Stooshe deserves to win”.

    Alexandra has said on a cookery TV program that she enjoys Stephanie's Jollof Rice, goat stew, yam and plantain.

    Stooshe are a three-piece English R&B girl group from UK made up of Alexandra Buggs, Karis Anderson and Courtney Rumbold who were lucky to be signed on to Warner Music Group in August 2011. Their popular singles are 'Betty Woz Gone', 'Love Me' and 'Black Heart' which has made entry into charts and gotten them also nominated for BBC'sSound of 2012.

    These young ladies have taken the R&B community by storm in UK, charming and breaking hearts along the way as they have performed at the just ended 2012 Olympics, opened up for Jennifer Lopez and more.

    Keep an eye out for Stooshe - they’ll steal your heart with any of their song before you know it.

    Sarkodie was also nominated in the Best African Act category and is up against Fatoumata Diawara, P Square, The Very Best, Spoek Mathambo, D'Banj, Fally Ipupa, Sarkodie, Cabo Snoop, Camp Mulla, Amadou and Mariam.

    But who will emerge victorious in this year's ultra-competitive MOBO awards in the 'Best Newcomer' and 'Best African Act category'? Well, it's up to you: Vote for Stooshe and Sarkodie through the web or mobile phones at http://www.mobo.com/voting.

    The organisers of MOBO have revealed the shortlist for the 17th annual MOBO Awards nominee list features the very best artists across a broad range of MOBO categories.

    Dubbed the hottest music event on the British calendar, this year's edition will be held at the Echo Arena Liverpool. The ticket range starts from £29 to £100.
