2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa, the newest entry to the soccer series, will be available at the end of April.
With the release coming up, Electronic Arts has announced the soundtrack for the game. The soundtrack features 28 songs from around the world, with artists from USA, England, Ghana Australia, South Africa and more.
"2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa is a landmark project in the evolution of world music and its African heritage," says Steve Schnur, Worldwide Executive of Music and Marketing at Electronic Arts. "We've brought together such legendary African artists as Nigerian drummer/activist Babatunde Olatunji, Senegal icon Baaba Maal, and ‘The Bob Marley of Ghana' Rocky Dawuni, with global superstars like Sergio Mendes and Nas & Damian Marley. But we're perhaps most proud of K'NAAN, the unsigned Somali artist we discovered in 2004 whose music has now appeared in five different EA SPORTS video games."
To go along with this announcement, a demo of the game will be available on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 starting tomorrow, April 8. Players will be able to use either Spain or Italy in the demo.
The full game will be available on April 27 for all systems in North America, and April 30 in Europe and Asia. You can check out a full list of the songs below.
